However, due to challenging internal turnover and domain expertise leaving the company, they needed help. To help close the knowledge and bandwidth gap, they turned to PMsquare. They were able to quickly assess the current state and condition, meet the immediate needs, and help establish processes by which OMRON could better manage workflows and needs going forward.

Throughout the engagement, PMsquare worked closely with OMRON to manage their reporting and financial planning solutions and offer additional reporting and enhancements to each solution. They helped to organize and prioritize requests for the Cognos and ETL teams while providing administration and report development guidance. To better understand the timing of requests, PMsquare tied Cognos deployments to MotioCI and upgraded their Cognos environment. PMsquare also introduced several improvements to the request flow helping OMRON to better organize the types of changes.

OMRON’s current BI Analytics Manager, Ram Rommohan, reported that the members of the IT team all have great feedback regarding their work with PMsquare. “We loved the task board that PMsquare had built. It was easy to use and it provided a multitude of useful metrics,” Rommohan said.
