For example, some promised no-code but ended up having lots of code, some needed browser plugins, and some were expensive and required consulting.

But there was no tool that could do it all, there was no tool that was complete… so co.meta was built.

Co.meta comes with a variety of predefined steps for things like navigating to a URL, clicking on a button, looking for a value on the page, executing a report, along with many other steps for navigating web pages and validating responses. Business users can easily combine predefined steps to create test scripts for most circumstances without having to write a single line of code.

Low-code

Each of the test plans in co.meta has an option to include a "Run JavaScript" step. This is useful for if a step doesn’t already exist in co.meta, you can use JavaScript to write a little bit of code to make it do what you'd like and have it return a true/false if the step was successful.

Co.meta is 100% open source - so if you're a developer, you have the freedom to contribute to the tool! If there is something you feel it's missing or there's another feature you would like added, you're encouraged to update and push the changes back. Co.meta’s team will then review it and roll it out.
